Things I build for fun (and learn from)

Experiments in home automation, hardware and self-hosting. Most of what I build for clients was tested here first.

Home energy monitoring

Solar inverter data read over Modbus by an ESP32, feeding Home Assistant: grid outage alerts, prepaid electricity tracking and usage history.

Local voice assistant

A fully local voice pipeline (speech-to-text, a local language model, and text-to-speech) controlling the house without the cloud.

Self-hosted app platform

A small fleet of web apps on a Raspberry Pi behind a reverse proxy, with scripted deploys and nightly off-site backups.

Parametric CAD

Enclosures, mounts and storage systems designed in Autodesk Fusion and printed in-house.
